Scientific Program
We would be delighted to welcome you to the ALIS (A Look Into Science) International Medical Student Congress, organized by Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine students on May 16-17-18, 2025. This year, our congress will take place under the theme "Genomics - Sequence to Solution", aiming to reach over 750 participants in its eighth edition. ALIS is designed to promote scientific thinking, inspire future healthcare professionals, and bring students together with leading experts in the field. Just like in previous years, this year’s congress is packed with an exciting and enriching program.
Translational Medicine Approach to Genomics: Our Genomics main theme aims to comprehensively examine the journey of genetic science from the laboratory to the patient's bedside with a translational perspective. Within this theme, topics such as genomic data analysis, the use of genomic approaches in disease diagnosis and treatment, and the future of personalized medicine will be addressed by experts in the field. These sessions will feature important discussions on how genetic knowledge is not only understood at the basic science level but also integrated into clinical practice, providing future healthcare professionals with the opportunity to explore the potential of translational medicine more closely.
Interactive Workshop Sessions: Our congress will feature interactive workshops that offer participants the opportunity to gain direct experience beyond theoretical knowledge. These workshops will include various hands-on applications centered around our Genomics main theme, as well as unique experiences such as Da Vinci Robotic Surgery applications, which can only be experienced at Acıbadem University, discovering the art of coffee brewing, applications on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and various experimental studies conducted using Acıbadem University’s high-tech laboratories. This comprehensive program, enriched with activities combining art and sports, such as swimming and dance, aims to help participants develop both practical skills and interactive experiences in different disciplines.
