ALIS'24
The ALIS'24 congress, held on May 17-18-19, 2024, with the main theme of “ALIS in Neuroland”, marked its 7th edition. This event featured impressive talks by world-renowned professors, centered around the core theme of “Consciousness”, creating a rare and unforgettable scientific celebration.
With over 800 participants and 9 esteemed speakers, including 5 international experts, ALIS'24 provided an enriching scientific experience over the course of three days. The congress also included more than 50 workshops across various categories. The second day concluded with a magnificent gala night at Adile Sultan Palace, aiming to ensure the satisfaction of participants in every aspect.
Prof. Dr. Anil Seth from the University of Sussex, Prof. Dr. Nick Lane, an Evolutionary Biologist and Michael Faraday Award winner from University College London; Prof. Dr. Hugues Duffau, a leading Brain and Neurosurgeon with his research and publications, Prof. Dr. Andrew Budson, a Neurology Professor teaching at Boston and Harvard Universities, all delivered unique talks on "Consciousness." Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canan Dağdeviren, the only Turkish scientist listed by Harvard University, Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Kural, a pioneer in Robotic Surgery in Turkey, and some of the most valuable members of the academic world, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Alanay and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alanay, delivered "Inspiration Talks", serving as examples for medical students with their achievements and life stories.
Mümin Sekman, who holds seminars across Turkey on "Success", delivered an impactful talk on "Success Consciousness" as part of the "Social Talk" session, accompanying us on our journey to success. The ALIS Oral Presentations, under the umbrella of the "Acıbadem International Medical Students (AIMS) Kerem Aydınlar Awards", provided students from various medical faculties the opportunity to present their projects before distinguished juries on the congress day.
