ALIS (A Look Into Science) is an international medical student congress organized by the students of Acıbadem University School of Medicine, taking place on May 15–16–17, 2026. In its ninth edition, ALIS is preparing to bring together more than 700 participants and continues to stand among the strongest student congresses in Türkiye with its scientific content, distinguished speakers, and high organizational standards. This year, under the theme “OncoVerse: Horizons in Cancer,” the congress will address current research areas in oncology and future-oriented approaches shaping the field, with contributions from experts coming from different countries around the world.

OncoVerse: Horizons in Cancer: This year, we do not focus on a single subfield of oncology. Instead, we take a broad view and explore the field entirely. We will cover the fundamental mechanisms of cancer biology, AI-supported early diagnostic methods, translational research, drug development, immunotherapy, surgical innovation, and organoid technologies throughout our congress. By bringing together the present and future of oncology with an interdisciplinary perspective, we aim to bring you a strong and well-rounded scientific program.

Workshop Sessions: On May 15 and 16, we will hold one-hour interactive workshops after our scientific sessions. With our workshops, we aim to offer hands-on experiences in a wide range of areas, beyond the main theme of the congress. We will include laboratory applications in Acıbadem University’s well-equipped labs, as well as clinical experiences such as the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery system and patient-based simulation scenarios. In addition, we will also host creative and enjoyable workshops such as sports and arts-based sessions, coffee brewing, perfume making, and healthy snack preparation.

 

Networking Opportunities and AIMS: ALIS is not only a congress but also a strong meeting point. You will have the opportunity to connect with speakers and students from different countries and become part of an international academic environment. On the third day, during AIMS (Acıbadem University International Medical Students’ Awards) Kerem Aydınlar Awards, you will be able to listen to the scientific work of young researchers who are medical students from around the world.
